Colossians 3:23 was a primary guiding verse for me in this series. It changed my perspective as I grow into the artist I want to become. One of the biggest hurdles I have faced as an artist is the need for acceptance or recognition. As I start to apply this verse to my life, these worries go away instantly. When I create art for the glory of God, I know He is pleased. God has no greater joy than to hear that His children walk in truth. This truth is manifested in the work of our hands on the canvas of life. I don't need to be concerned with what others think since I am not making it to please people. Some might connect with the art, and others won't, but that is ok. This new line of thought allows me to move forward and produce godly works full of God's goodness.
