[ Description /

This NFT presents the original, uncropped archival photograph of the canvas, captured immediately after the work in 2012.

The artwork was created in the Neukölln district of Berlin as part of an intensive series of over 100 action paintings produced between July and September 2012. The process involved spreading large paper sheets—approx. one meter wide and two meters high—on the floor, splashing them with acrylic paint, and performing movement guided by recorded improvised music sessions.

This image deliberately preserves the surrounding studio wall, skewed perspectives, natural resolution, and lens distortions of the original file. Rather than altering these flaws, leaving them untouched serves as physical and historical proof of the raw artistic vitality in Berlin.

The original paintings of the photographs are currently held at the Maeng Museum in Berlin.

[ Behind the Canvas: Process & Sound /

The link below reveals the vivid creative moment of this artwork. This process video includes a time-lapse of the action painting with a visual trail-echo effect, layered over the raw, authentic soundscape of the 2012 Berlin session.

Please note that parts of the archival footage may appear blurry, dark, or show only ambiguous movements without the canvas in view. Rather than a flaw, this raw documentation captures the true, unpolished energy of the creative act.
