Spending a sunset on the shore of a lake is truly one of the most beautiful sights I’ve known. As the sun sets on the horizon, giving us a lovely golden hue, the calm waters imitate the skies and turn into liquid gold.
As the usual rustle of boats died down at the end of a tiring day, I sat there in the brisk evening wind and that soft sunlight with a lot of calm retrospection while soaking at the moment. As I walked around, scanning the vast goldscape through my viewfinder, the camera almost felt like a distraction.
The usual business of the day was getting further away as the feeling of home crept in slowly, for me, for the world, and for the birds.
And as the birds flew home on the hour of sunset, I found myself truly at home in the majestic beauty of it.
