The Threshold of the Ether: The Awakening of the Iris

The second chapter within "The Hermetic Gardens" cycle continues the spiritual journey of the young noblewoman—a recurring soul and archetype of pure harmony. Her sumptuous Renaissance gown comes alive, weaving together wild roses and blue irises. The roses symbolize the mystical garden of absolute inner balance, while the blue iris embodies spiritual connection, the nobility of the soul, and the thin veil suspended between the earthly realm and the mysteries of the unseen. The figure is captured in a moment of sacred suspension: she meditates before an open door, an initiatory threshold separating the present from the unknown, just prior to stepping through. This doorway opens into a dense tunnel of roses, a metaphorical path of transformation, beauty, and purification. Beyond the tunnel, the background reveals a vast sea horizon and a cliffside castle, symbols of the boundless nature of consciousness and the inner fortress of the soul that remains steadfast against time. Beside her, the sacred guardian lion watches over the boundaries of the natural sanctuary, while the scene is enriched by the majestic presence of a peacock. With its magnificent train dotted with eyes, the peacock represents the all-seeing gaze of higher wisdom and the radiance of divine light. Together with the celestial messengers, it evokes the mystery of immortality and the incorruptible purity of the spirit. A visual poem where untamed nature and the royal lineage of the soul merge into an eternal alchemy.
