I took this photo using the zoom burst technique in my hometown of Split, Croatia. The location is Diocletian's Palace, built by Emperor Diocletian in the turn of the 4th century. The palace is one of the best-preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The photo shows the view from the Vestibul, the imperial lobby, which has a square floor plan on the outside and a circular one on the inside.
Using the zoom burst technique, I wanted to convey the unique energy that resides in this ancient kingdom and in my own artistic way tell the story of the eternal presence of history in the everyday life of my hometown.
