The vast majority of my artwork comes from a place of ‘peaceful nostalgia’. This piece is different - it is the direct result of financial frustration, with my person situation just as much as the unjust systems within which the world operates.
Aesthetically this piece further develops recent changes in my artwork process - combining previously established ‘painted pixel’ techniques (implying physical textures and brushstrokes) with digital-first effects like noise, glow, and chromatic aberration.
