I created this piece in one sitting on Thanksgiving, 2022. The highest version of me was on the prowl, checking in to make sure I’ve been on the right track. She summoned the people of the town for her grand entrance. I was amongst the people, trying to understand what the spectacle was. Everyone but me knew what they were experiencing. No one could tell me, though. It took me years to realize what was happening in this piece. My interpretation continuously evolves, giving my art new meaning and power as it patinas.
