As the night wears on and the clock ticks closer to morning, the mother sits on her child's bed, holding the little frame and gently placing a cool cloth on their forehead and checking their temperature every so often.
The child's coughing and sniffling prevents sleep taking hold of her in spite of her tiredness, so she remains vigilant, making sure they have enough fluids and are as comfortable as possible.
Despite the knowledge that she has an important work meeting in just a few short hours, she doesn't grumble or complain, knowing that her child needs her care and attention. Her eyes may be heavy with exhaustion, but her heart is full of love and dedication to her child.
