As of today, test cards are still widely common for calibration, alignment, and matching of camera and recording equipment in the motion image industry.
With this piece of work, PFA Studios pays tribute to the era of the TV test screen and translates it with contemporary CGI based aesthetics.
Subtle high end textures mark the surfaces of the individual graphic patterns providing floating and decelerated movements.
The sound was composed by TimTim based on the sine wave tone that used to accompany the broadcasted test screen at night.
