A prophet of broken halos and alabaster icons
Falsified and vindicated.
Purified and blinded amidst the wreckage
Hands reach either to hold or to pull
Attempt escape from tendrils of a dying age.
Lately, it's been hard to distinguish between crabs and people.
Light doesn't penetrate this far down the barrel
Skin thickens and faces contort.
Stake "evidence of humanity" as the latest staple of apparel.
Elsewhere, a misplaced youth follows the corkscrews
A skewed corona shattered by the Ideal.
He loses his way amidst the gaps.
Thus, to resolve his pervading riddle he forges his own way.
Pulling, chopping, and screwing
Til' a fluctuation descends from the aurora worth pursuing.
