A photograph taken in the streets of downtown Bogotá, the most historic, artistic, and cultural area of the city. I was deeply drawn to the contrast of colors, textures, and details appearing as night began to fall. There was something beautiful about the way the city transformed after dark, and I wanted to capture that atmosphere in its purest essence.
The second image was taken from the rooftop of a place where a DJ music studio is located. From that terrace, you could see the entire sky, airplanes passing above, and an incredible amount of moonlight illuminating the night. I wanted to capture that moment as a way of preserving the feeling of everything that was being lived in that instant.
Both images hold different forms of nocturnal energy, one connected to the movement of the city, the other to the openness of the sky. Somewhere between them, a quiet sensation appears, living is also about learning how to find beauty in fleeting moments before they disappear into memory.
