A photograph taken in the streets of Bogotá, near the Pontevedra neighborhood where I grew up and built friendships that today feel like brothers for life. We’ve grown together through the years, and from this place I carry some of the most meaningful memories of my life. Returning to this area always brings back powerful emotions, which is why I decided to paint a “LUKO” tag on one of the communication boxes in the street, almost like leaving a fragment of my story connected to the place that helped shape me.
The second image was taken from the apartment of a friend from my school days, a friendship that has been cultivated in a very special way over time. My juggling props are present in the scene, something that accompanies me daily and has become part of my rhythm, discipline, and expression.
The contrast between the intimacy of an apartment and the openness of the street brought me closer to the idea of the art of living through contrasts. Somewhere between memory, friendship, movement, and urban life, this piece became a reflection of how the spaces we grow within continue living inside us long after we leave them.
