I paint myself in that hour when the sunset has not yet faded, but the first stars are already testing their light. I am a liminal nymph - between light and shadow, water and wind. My fair hair - like threads of molten amber - is caught by the twilight breeze; it moves, and the portrait becomes a living vision. My breast is bared not as a provocation: it is a sign of absolute primacy, in which there is no shame, only a pure, almost ancient harmony with nature. Behind me, the background - painted in thick strokes of umber, lavender, and dying ochre - envelops me, making me either reality or a dream. My gaze is slightly narrowed: it is directed to where twilight meets eternity. This self-portrait is my meditation on how beautiful and vulnerable beauty is at the day's end.
