Once... a holy place...
Once... a home...
A sanctuary for reflection... for prayer... for those rare moments when silence seemed capable of answering questions words could not...
And silence... lived well here...
It stretched through the corridors... settled upon the walls... lingered beneath the vaulted ceiling like a faithful guardian...
But time is rarely kind to sacred things...
Now we stand beneath an old hunter's chandelier... motionless above us... watching... waiting...
The window remains...
A curious thing...
Its glass captures fragments of distant stars... hidden constellations... forgotten galaxies suspended within colored light... As though the heavens themselves had been trapped behind its surface centuries ago...
Around the ceiling, ancient golden symbols endure...
Old gods...
Older beliefs...
Names once spoken with reverence... now remembered only by stone and dust...
And then...
The blood...
Everywhere...
Dark stains spreading across the room like a second architecture... woven into the very history of the place...
One begins to wonder which arrived first...
The temple...
Or the sacrifice...
Something lives here now...
Not openly...
Not carelessly...
The beast possesses patience...
It remains hidden beyond sight... beyond reason... beyond the fragile comfort people call understanding...
Waiting...
For curiosity...
For footsteps...
For the inevitable arrogance of those who mistake an invitation for safety...
Beneath the foundations... beneath the stone... beneath centuries of prayer and forgetting...
Darkness has been sleeping...
Dreaming...
Growing still...
And now...
After centuries of restraint...
It has awakened...
Not to speak...
Not to threaten...
But to hunt...
