Mr. X opened his eyes and found himself near a large lake.
"I can't figure out how I got here, because the last thing I remember is drinking gin with Plaster Henry."
He crouched down, trying to remember how he got here.
Hearing a quiet splash of water, he turned around to look around.
He saw a figure in white walking on the water.
It was Jesus.
Mr. X was amazed at what he saw, for he knew it was impossible.
He jumped up and began to quickly approach the lake to get a better look.
It really was Jesus and he was really walking on the water surface.
It was hard to believe his eyes. He looked at Jesus, who continued to walk on the water as if nothing much was going on. His footsteps were sure and he was getting closer.
As Jesus got closer, Mr. X turned to him and said: "How do you do it? How do you walk on water?"
Jesus replied, "It is my faith. Faith in God gives me the power to do the impossible."
Mr. X pondered these words. He realized that faith in God can indeed give a person unusual strength and confidence. He decided that he needed to start believing in God in order to get the same power as Jesus had.
Mr. X spent several days with Jesus, learning from him and talking about faith. He felt his life had changed and he had found a new path.
Soon, however, it was time to say goodbye, and Mr. X was about to go on his journey.
Our protagonist walked Jesus to the shore of the lake and thanked him for all he had given him.
Jesus smiled and said he would always be there for him if he needed him.
Then Jesus took a few steps on the water and disappeared from sight.
Mr. X was left alone, standing by the shore and looking out at the water. He realized that this was not just a random experience, but something more important.
And again he lost consciousness in a cloud of acrid black smoke.
