Geometry of the Heat explores the tension between control and intensity. In this work, I am not only expressing emotion, but also examining how it organizes itself within me. Heat, in this context, represents emotional energy in its most concentrated form, desire, anger, passion, urgency. It is not chaotic by nature, but it resists being contained.

The geometric elements introduce a sense of structure, as if I am attempting to map or frame something that is inherently fluid. Lines, divisions, and blocks suggest order, but they are disrupted, blurred, and softened by the saturation of color. The heat seeps through the structure, refusing to stay within boundaries.

The dominance of reds, magentas, and oranges intensifies this feeling. These colors carry weight and presence, but they are layered in a way that suggests movement beneath the surface. What appears solid is unstable. What seems contained is already expanding.

The title reflects this contradiction. “Geometry” implies precision, clarity, and control, while “heat” suggests something visceral and uncontrollable. Together, they describe the attempt to understand and hold something that cannot fully be measured.

This work exists in that space, between structure and overflow, where emotion begins to shape its own form, even as it resists being defined.
