Acts 2 — the Day of Pentecost, the birthday of the Christian Church and the outpouring of the gift of holy spirit.
Fiery turbulent strokes of crimson, bronze, gold, orange, and yellow surge upward, vividly capturing the “cloven tongues like as of fire.” These flames meet a luminous realm of white and glowing yellow, symbolizing God’s grace and faithfulness.
At the center, an embedded fragment of Acts 2:1-4 (KJV) from my heirloom Bible (passed down from generations) anchors the piece.
This painting focuses not on the disciples, but on the holy fire itself — the visible sign of God’s Spirit poured out, restoring the connection between God and humanity through faith alone.
The same gift is available today through Romans 10:9-10: confess Jesus as Lord and believe God raised him from the dead.
A celebration of the moment salvation became available by grace.
