Some things leave the room but never leave the heart.
That is what this work speaks of.
What Refused to Fade is a letter written in color, carrying the memory of moments that time could not erase. The layered blocks feel like fragments of days once lived—touches, silences, departures, returns. Reds burn with passion and hurt, blues hold the quiet weight of reflection, and gold glows like the small pieces of hope that survive everything.
There is tension here, but also endurance. The composition suggests that even when life tries to cover over what was felt, traces remain beneath the surface. Love, grief, longing, joy—none of them disappear completely. They settle into us, shaping who we become.
This artwork honors the emotions that stayed when everything else changed. It reminds us that memory is not weakness, and feeling deeply is not something to be ashamed of. Some truths do not fade because they were real. Some fires remain because they once gave light.
