I created Igbaradi as the opening moment of the Apoti Olowe Project, an act of preparation before the story unfolds. The scene brings together earthen pitchers, Adire fabric, and kolanut, objects deeply rooted in Yoruba tradition and everyday ritual.
Each element was sculpted and rendered with care, reflecting my research into the cultural practices I aim to preserve. This piece is the table set before the meeting, the threshold into Ayo’s world.
As a precursor work, Igbaradi marks the beginning.
