This work enters into dialogue with Constantin Brâncuși’s search for essential form. Rather than describing a figure, the piece reduces the body to a vertical presence, rising between ground and light.
A wide rose plane extends the silhouette, acting less as a hat than as a horizontal structure that stabilizes the ascent. The face is simplified, the gesture nearly erased, allowing proportion and rhythm to carry the meaning.
The slow rotation recalls the experience of encountering a sculpture in space, where the form reveals itself through light and shadow.
Following Brâncuși’s idea that simplicity is complexity resolved, the work seeks an archetypal presence. Not a portrait, but a form of ascent.
