Wings of Light

The storm loosens its grip, clouds thinning into air and shadow. From the break, light pours downward, a sudden, luminous offering drawn across mountains and sky. Granite peaks stand quiet, their faces washed in silver and ash. Within the falling rays, four pelicans appear, wings caught mid-motion, as if shaped from the light itself. Nothing rushes. The moment hangs, suspended, where weather gives way to grace. In black and white, the world is distilled, stone, air, and wing. And for an instant, the sky chooses to carry the light forward.
