Flowers [Pink] II
Material Translation: Flower Study (Triptych) - Part II
The second panel of a three-part investigation documenting how a single flower composition transforms through computational processing across the color temperature spectrum.
Part II explores aggressive processing in warm palette territory— magenta and pink hues pushed to maximum saturation with heavy glitch banding exposing the translation mechanism at its most intense. The fragmented cellular structures function as digital equivalents of brushstrokes, creating genuine textural depth through multilayered processes.
The prominent horizontal artifacts are not errors but evidence—visual documentation of multilayered systems when translating material properties at opposing values. The warm palette creates emotional intensity while the multilayered structures reveal how that intensity is generated.
Using flowers as test subjects—this work examines whether digital processes can achieve genuine material properties equivalent to traditional techniques. The flower study has been where artists learned how their medium behaves for over 400 years.
