I created this piece as a visual interpretation of my gradual wake from hibernation. Emerging from the darkness of winter into the first light of spring, like a moth from a cocoon. The constant transformation of nature that is beyond our control.
But the more I learn about Emergence, the more significance this piece holds, with respect to the beauty and power of nature, and the limitless potential of web3.
Emergence refers to the phenomenon where collective behaviour produces a result far beyond the capabilities of its individual components. Put simply, emergence occurs when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Complex patterns and behaviours of the whole emerge from the interactions of many individuals. The details in this illustration are intentionally beautiful, designed to be looked at closely, but never in isolation; they work together in harmony to create the complete piece.
Decentralisation embodies emergence. Each one of us plays a vital role in this constantly evolving ecosystem, no one individual is more important than the other.
So let’s work together, as nature intended.
