Second Nut (swinging harmony) connects Impressionism to digital animation. Pointillist textures meet Muybridge’s motion studies, forming a loop that reimagine 19th-century experiments with light, color, and time—but now it's all about a pair of balls dangling in hypnotic, bouncy glory. This works reflect how new technologies—from paint tubes, to camera shutters, to pixels and AI—reshape both human perception, and thus, artistic practice, especially when you're passionate about it. This work is focused on the everyday, low-hanging fruit. The animation is simple on the surface, yet rooted in defiance and experimentation; they form a dialogue across centuries between artists who sought to capture the fleeting, and a search for a digital language that continues their work—complete with dangling participles and impressionist sack-swaying. Pungent beyond belief. The 23rd Nutwork in the Nutworks collection.
