Proxy Bodies
Stage I - Domestic Initiation
Proxy Bodies looks at how everyday life, at home, in public, and in institutions, now runs on the same interface logic. We don’t just appear in systems, we learn and perform them, often without noticing. The work follows a simple cycle: prepare, copy, calibrate, submit, interface, transmit. Domestic tools become ritual props, civic spaces become stages for duplication, and screens measure and ask for our attention. AI is part of this picture, not as a villain but as a mirror, one that shows the habits we’ve taught our devices and then taken back into ourselves. These images are a record of that rehearsal.
