a bond once formed,
now torn by static.
the memory of us,
sat in the storm,
left to rot and rust,
buried in the attic.
a love was swiftly born,
and died shortly after,
leaving me to mourn
what I thought to be
happily ever after.
the way she moved her hips
seeking to be seen.
her face is but a blur,
slipping through my fingertips
and yet, the thought of her,
is seeping through the seams
what once shined bright
is only but a gleam,
like ships in the night
the dissolution
of a reoccurring dream.
