Cloud to cloud lightning bolts can be dramatic, chaotic and beautiful. They don't find a spot in the ground to land, but they do illuminate their surroundings with a purple haze. This frame was captured north of Pericos, Sinaloa, on the highway named Mexico-15, a road that connects Mexico City with Nogales, AZ.
## Technical & Contextual Notes
Photographed in 2025 from my building’s parking lot in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Because of regional conflict, I can’t roam the state as I used to; every frame is taken from a fixed vantage point, waiting for the storms that cross my line of sight.
## The Margins Concept
This piece is part of Margins, my storm-diary series. These are the “in-between” works—raw power that would be headliners in most collections, but here live at the edge of my main body of work. All Margins are 1/1, never minted again, and intentionally priced for accessible entry so more collectors can help preserve the archive.
## Artist’s Mission & Relevance
I document Sinaloa’s storms as both witness and preservation—beauty in a place too often defined by danger. Each capture is a negotiation with risk, weather, and time; a record of nature’s violence and grace so others can feel the electricity of these skies.
*Collector’s Legend:* Margins has a *permanent reward system*. Every collector who acquires *five Margins* receives a *sixth 1/1 Margins piece for free*. This ensures that committed supporters are recognized not only with ownership but with exclusive, unreleased work that will never be minted again.
