Captured on 6th Avenue near Bryant Park in 2023, during my very first trip to New York. The city was soaked in relentless rain all week, and that morning was no exception. With my trousers clinging wet to my legs and water filling my shoes, I knelt down right in the street — one hand holding an umbrella, the other my Ricoh GR III. In that fleeting moment, the silhouettes of hurried strangers crossing under their umbrellas merged with the towering architecture, and the city revealed itself as a living, breathing organism — drenched, yet undeniably alive.
