Shoreline Light

The shoreline can be much to many. A place of recreation, of beauty, of solace and home to many creatures. But here in South Australia's Spencer Gulf, it is that and more. Such a rugged, sometimes bleak coastline, protected by a lighthouse, and yet, when the light caresses the soft turquoise waters it just takes your breath away. Taking attempt after attempt to find the right shutter speed, and then, the right amount of movement, this photograph was made so as to resemble a painted work. Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) involves the movement of the camera at a specific speed and/or direction during the operation of the shutter, resulting in a blurred image that still contains detail and a story of what it is about, and what it contains. This image contains no AI or Photoshop effects.
