This is a Love Bomb.
It was made physically, first, using talcum, pastels, Chinese rice paper used for calligraphy, watercolors and safflower oil and then left to set, and then "washed" with a butane lighter, leaving a small burn hole under the heart.
I made it to commemorate my next evolution as an artist, to follow a practice that interrogates several principles of art:
1. One should slow down to examine what makes thought think
2. One can alter consciousness and thought by changing a forms formatting from physical to the digital
3. That stories are needed in order for art to "make sense."
I do most of my art in a small studio room in Hong Kong in a darkened room, where I can see how technology changes forms but enhances or deprecates aesthetic principles.
This Love Bomb is a story to you about that. HEARTEMOJI
