Nazaré is one of the greatest challenges and aspirations for most surfers around the world.
A couple stand frozen in time, watching in awe a solitary surfer preparing to adventure into the North Atlantic Ocean. Awaiting him are some of the tallest and fiercest waves in the world, ready to engulf even the bravest and most experienced surfers.

Nazaré is home to some of the largest, most treacherous waves on the planet. Only the most skilled surfers are bold enough to tackle waves which can exceed 15 meters high and come crashing down at over 100 kilometers per hour.
This image was taken early morning while flying along the coastline. High winds and seagulls make drone flights quite complexed around this area. Luckily, I was able to capture this moment before high speed winds risked me losing control of my drone.
