sometimes it burns bright
other times it is like a dying star
in the last night sky
maybe it is the soul wanting to speak?
the flame that flickers like an untamed dance
the flame that dims like a failing streetlamp
but even the littlest of all fires
can light a beacon
or guide a lost ship in a silent sea
so come and sit here by the fire inside
and let it kindle
by letting it be
