A neo-classic--bold, discerning, and unafraid of the strange beauty of the new. She is a bohemian cyberpunk with an obsession for Grace Kelly and mecha anime, effortlessly gliding through the neon Harajuku night. Deliberate, delicate, powerful, optimistic. Her mind is sharp. Her heart is young. Her step is sure.
Gucci's history is a blooming vine of global aesthetic innovation. New, multimodal materials and movements have found their moment again and again in Gucci's hands. To honor that, the artists used a variety of mediums to create this wearable art.
The work was digitally hand-sculpted, and AI was used to texture it with AI-Collaborative art. That art combines advanced mathematical functions with ancient paintings from China, Japan, and both Eastern and Western Europe. The 3D+AI textures are mixed with the aesthetic of tapestries from cultures across centuries. These AI works were then disassembled to their purest forms--shapes and colors--and arranged in a series of abstract collages that glow and dance over the fabric. A laborious process, the work is a love-letter from the artists. It is intended to reflect the sophistication of experience, the innocent joy of youth, the weight of tradition and the light of the future.
In addition to this film piece, the collector will also receive the full ensemble as a 3D file, which may be displayed as a sculpture in metaverse, worn on an avatar, 3D printed, or used in any other 3D digital setting. The collector will also receive the avatar itself.
Finally, the collector is entitled to a physical roll (50 yards) of fabric, printed and embroidered with the piece’s primary AI-Collaborative pattern. This abstract pattern will be the first physical work of fashion from either artist, and arrives with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
