Salisbury, a picturesque city in southern England, boasts a rich historical heritage and stunning architectural landmarks. A short drive from Salisbury takes you to the iconic Stonehenge, one of the world's most enigmatic prehistoric monuments. Comprising a circle of colossal standing stones, some nearly 20 feet tall and weighing tons, Stonehenge's exact purpose and construction methods remain subjects of ongoing archaeological debate. Believed to have been erected between 3000 and 2000 BCE, the site is thought to have had various functions, possibly religious, astronomical, and ceremonial. Its alignment with solstices and equinoxes suggests a profound connection to the solar calendar and the natural world's cycles.
In 2017, I visited Salisbury for just a day. This video is based on my photography, close to how I see and how I remember Salisbury, the magical atmosphere.
