Moraine Lake is a truly special place. It's really no wonder it's one of the most popular lakes in not just Canada, but the whole world. It's almost like this place was created for landscape photography. Between the gorgeous blues in the water, the fierce mountain peaks in the background, the warm greens along the trees in the back and the ones in the foreground; I can't get enough of it...
But despite this place being such a picturesque location, I really wanted to capture this scene with the right conditions; ideally, with clouds and a crisp mirror-like reflection. You would just never believe how challenging that was to get, especially during Autumn!
Over the course of 3 years, I visited this lake nearly 10 times before I finally got the conditions I wanted. Many early mornings, many disappointments due to choppy waters and low visibility... But to finally get what I wanted after so many attempts, made all of that effort truly worth it.
