Oh how I love Fall colors and how I love railroad tracks too; together they create one of my favorite combinations. I captured this photo at one of my favorite local spots near my hometown on Vancouver Island.
As with most railroads on the Island, this railroad is abandoned and has not been used in many years. Thus, it's totally safe to walk along and especially picturesque to shoot as it's always covered in leaves during Autumn.
I have tried on many occasions to get this spot with the right conditions and colors, but this was by far the best I have ever seen it. To be able to capture this amount of foliage, color, and some of my favorite clouds all in one shot; it was a pinch-me moment without a doubt.
