Sunset Beach #1/5

As the sun sets in a different direction the sky over a beach on Australia's Southern edge along the Eucla Coast is illuminated in the soft, pink glow of the Belt of Venus. Standing atop the cliff looking down to the ocean I can see the waves, having made their way from Antarctica, unfurl and lap at the shore as they come to rest from their epic journey. As the day draws to a close and the sun sets, the blue hue of the earth's shadow takes over, the pink sky from the last of the sun's reflected light is replaced and snuffed out, and the quiet of the night begins to roar. This photograph was made through Intentional Camera Movement, involving the correct physical movement speed combined with perfect shutter duration so as to leave that movement on the image and thereby imitate an artists paintbrush through that movement. This image contains no AI or Photoshop effects. It has been cataloged and processing in Lightroom.
