CAUGHT BETWEEN
She was a doppelgänger girl
Caught between a world
Of the pureness of black and white
And the color potpourri delight
The Monochrome Queen:
She practiced much to hold her breath
To stay beneath the quiet sea
She let the current carry her
Gave in to lose control
Made her calm
Set her free
From the world above
Where life was hard
Full of war
And hard to breathe.
The Kaleidoscopic Bourgeoisie:
She practiced breathing
Touching grass
She roamed about the world to see
Controlled every moment
But not the love and anxiety
She yearned to jump into the deep
Where life was simple
Full of peace
Dreamed of walking on the surface
Staring at the life
The placid sea.
The Commingled Twins:
She rose up slowly
She jumped down
When they met
There was no sound
For a moment they were one
Holding tight
To the time
To the dream
In which they were
Caught
Between.
