This image was taken on the island of Dhonakulhi, Maldives, in March 2021. A small piece of paradise and freedom at a time when the world was experiencing so much tragedy due to the pandemic. An early morning flight, to avoid the extremely high temperatures throughout the day produced this astounding composition of colours, textures and shadows.
