ARTROCKS - Stones

Artrocks is a growing, collaborative art collection built around one of the hardest natural materials known to us: stone. Unchanged, unprocessed, and historically synonymous with permanence. Here, stone meets blockchain, two mediums defined by durability and the refusal to be easily altered. Together, they form a framework where artistic intention becomes as immutable as the material itself.

Each participating artist begins with the same starting point: a randomly assigned stone handed over in the physical world. From that moment, they have one month to transform it into an artwork. Success becomes part of the collection. Failure becomes visible, as any uncompleted stone is cracked and rendered uncollectible, an irreversible mark of process, pressure, and time.

Every stone placed for sale is available only for a specific timeframe. Collectors who acquire a stone can redeem one artwork from that artist within ArtRocks dedicated collection.

However, each artist may also design additional, independent redeem mechanics in their own collections, burn requirements, multi-artwork exchanges, or entirely new systems are entirely up to the artists.

Stones become strategic assets, stacking them becomes a way of preparing for unknown future possibilities within each artist’s evolving practice. Once the sale window of a stone closes, its edition size becomes immutable, set in stone, without exception. ArtRocks continues to expand over time, with each artist pushing against the limits of a shared material and a shared structure. The collection is designed to grow, shift, and exceed its own boundaries, yet remain anchored in the same fundamental principles: permanence, process, and the enduring weight of stone.

ArtRocks – Monoleth [Fragments of Solidity]

ArtRocks – Monoleth is the first burn-to-redeem collection within the ArtRocks ecosystem, built around one of the hardest natural materials: stone. Unchanged, unprocessed, and rooted in permanence. In this collection, stone meets blockchain, two mediums defined by durability and resistance to change.

Each artist received a randomly assigned physical stone and had one month to turn it into an artwork. Completed works enter the collection, unfinished stones are cracked and remain uncollectible, leaving a permanent trace of process and pressure.

Monoleth reveals how differently the same base material can evolve. The artworks reflect the distinct styles, techniques, and methods each participating artist brings to the stone, making the collection a study in creative divergence.

For every stone an artist holds, exactly one artwork can be redeemed in ArtRocks – Monoleth by burning the corresponding stone. Collectors should keep in mind that artists may additionally create their own independent burn-to-redeem systems within their personal contracts and collections, from single-stone burns to multi-artwork burn combinations that yield new pieces.

Stones therefore become strategic assets for future artistic possibilities. Once a stone’s sale window closes, its edition size is fixed, set in stone. Monoleth continues the broader ArtRocks mission: a collective, ever-growing structure built on permanence, process, and the raw material that began it all.
