An abstract representation of a relentless disease with no known cause or cure, which inevitably eats away at the mind, memories, intelligence, curiosity, willpower, personality, mental and physical autonomy, and the joy of life, including that of the people around. The once vibrant tapestry of neurons progressively becomes punched by widening gaps until the whole intellectual and emotional landscape is replaced by the pervasive static of forgetfulness, leaving the sufferer a phantom echo of their former self.
