Copenhagen-based artist. Probably overthinking this bio and still waiting for someone to explain my own art. Also, I think my dog has a deep, unresolved opinion about it.
The American Neighborhood I Never Lived In
The American Neighborhood I Never Lived In is a love letter to the chaos we all pretend to ignore, lawnmowers that cha-cha through the yard, the neighbor’s angry dog reigning over its backyard, and the quiet understanding that everyone becomes “Dave” eventually.
Picture a place where dads battle grills with beer swords, pigeons plot revolution under the codename “Comrades,” and the only thing louder than a leaf blower is Mom’s stare, so Dad avoids going inside.
It’s the neighborhood you’ve never visited but somehow recognize, a mix of borrowed nostalgia, half-overheard gossip, and the kind of absurdity that only happens when no one’s watching (except maybe the trash cans).
Thirteen stories and not a documentary. Probably.
