br0ken

br0ken is a collection of 36 digital animations created by Strano in 2025 as a series of compositional, gestural and procedural experimentations. Each artwork is generated through a combination of coding, motion graphics, digital collage, and pixel painting, merging multiple processes into a single visual language. The project started as an experiment in creative research; pixelated glitches and textures were turned into digital paint brushes via a software created by the artist. Using this custom program, Strano then recorded a number of gestures and motions which became broad compositions for each artwork. The next creative steps involved animating, coloring, compositing and refining each animation, in a delicate balance between order and chaos. “I push pixels until they crack, then I sit with the debris and piece them back together until they find their own beat. There’s something strangely therapeutic in that; breaking, reshaping, repeating, like clearing a space inside the noise. What matters is the rhythm that comes out of this repetition, the way each piece finds its own pulse while carrying the mark of the fracture it came from. Each loop is an experiment in process, where error becomes texture and distortion becomes structure.” br0ken represents a significant new chapter in Strano’s artistic journey as well as an expansion of his previous artworks. The project perfectly embodies a desire to find inspiration and meaning within chaos; as a metaphor of everyday life and a means of pushing the practice forward.
